hmm, let's talk about something interesting: CSM, held on 11 may, thursday. for those who don't know, CSM stands for Combined Sports Meet, Hwa Chong Institution-Nanyang Girls' High School Combined Sports Meet. it was my first time at this event, so i was quite excited about it.
i met clara, wanting the bimbo and cheryl at 7 in the morning outside HCI, and i saw so many other people from our class, like ying siu, chun en, sarah and so on. we took like 5 minutes walking to the place where we were assigned to sit, which was like all the way at the other side of the track. we walked past the HCI(high school section), HCIS and our sec 2s and 3s' places before we finally got to our place. apparently i didn't see my brother, but i saw my 3 friends in HCI.
after flag-raising, the meet started. since i wasn't taking part in any of the events held on that day(apparently we didn't qualify for the 8x50m relay), i was thinking of going there to get a nice suntan, but THEY SET UP TENTAGES! argh, they ruined my plan. but anyway, yeah, i was like talking to people and of course watching others run. we also cheered like every time people from our school were running. i've got like a minor sore throat from the cheering now. i think we were also cheering because we were sitting next to the HCI(college section) people, who were cheering the whole time through, though i only heard 1 falculty cheering: apollo(probably because they were sitting nearest to us, i don't know?
well, we were told that the meet would end at 1, but guess what? the meet ended at 10.30, 2 and a half hours earlier than the stipulated time. i arranged to meet some people at 2, but because the meet ended earlier, i didn't manage to meet all of them for lunch. we went to Macs(where else can poor students like us go for nice food?) i saw my brother at the bus stop outside HCI, but he dao-ed me.. he didn't even respond when i said hi to him. argh, he's like that...
though i didn't run and didn't manage to get a tan, it was still fun overall. we all thought the cheering was boring, but it got more fun as time went on. our class also had a shocking revelation: mr lim can run so freaking fast, and he actually wears red FBT shorts! well, apparently people in the mr lim fan club were freaking out, wanting especially. she was like screaming into my ear when mr lim won the relay. my eardrum almost burst..
well, i surely am looking forward to the next CSM. hope i get to take part next year!
